Sheriff's Vehicle Rollovers During High Speed Chase

 

ECTOR COUNTY, TX – The Ector County Sheriff’s Office is actively searching for a male suspect that was involved in a high-speed chase Thursday evening.

According to CBS7, a man in a stolen truck led the sheriffs on a high-speed chase and then proceeded to flee on foot after stopping in a field south of Andrews. The chase is said to have begun at State Highway 158 and U.S. Highway 385.

Deputies are still searching for the suspect and a k-9 unit and drones were deployed to aid in the search.

During the chase, a deputy’s truck hydroplaned and rolled over. The deputy was taken to the hospital to be checked out and is said to be okay. Ector County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the driver ran several vehicles off the road.
