WATCH: Car Strikes Home in Major Accident on Beauregard Ave

Major motor vehicle accident between two cars leaves Beauregard Ave, between Campus Blvd and Johnson St, temporarily closed. 

It appears one of the vehicles may have stuck a home in the area, but the exact nature of the crash is unknown.

San Angelo Fire Department and EMS are assisting at least one of the passengers; injuries are unknown at the moment.

Avoid the intersection for the time being. More details will be provided as they become available.

Officer Long of the SAPD responded to the scene and provided the following details.

The purple Honda Accord was traveling northbound on Campus Blvd when the driver disregarded the stop sign. A Honda CRV was traveling eastbound on Beauregard Ave and struck the Accord after it failed to stop.

No one was taken to the hospital and the driver of the Honda Accord was issued a citation for disregarding a stop sign.

No one in the home was injured with the crash. A resident of home that was struck told LIVE! reporters that he had been sleeping on a couch 5 feet from the impact zone.
