Child Hospitalized in Afternoon Crash

 

SAN ANGELO, TX -- A two car crash closed one lane on a busy street during the afternoon traffic rush. 

According to Officer McAndrews with the San Angelo Police Department, on October 15, the officer was dispatched to the intersection of Irving and West Ave. N for the report of a major motor vehicle accident. 

When he arrived he found a black SUV and a Toyota Avalon that was in the middle of the roadway. 

After further investigation, the officer determined that the SUV was heading east on West Ave. N when the Avalon attempted to make a left hand turn from Irving. This caused the SUV to strike the Avalon. 

One child was transported to the hospital. 

The Avalon was cited for failure to yield why making a left hand turn.
