WATCH: Driver Taken to Hospital After Hyundai Hydroplanes on 87

SAN ANGELO, TX — Slippery road conditions were the cause of a crash on US 87 Friday morning.

A maroon Hyundai was travelling south on 87 when the vehicle hydroplaned around the North Chadbourne intersection.

The driver lost control and entered the median.  The car then crossed into northbound traffic and struck a white F350.

Officer Long with the San Angelo Police Department Traffic Division said at the scene that the driver of the Hyundai was taken to Shannon Medical Center with unknown injuries.

Long also said that no citations were given out at this time.
