Firefighters Save Multiple Homes After Brush Fire in City Limits
SAN ANGELO, TX -- Fire departments from all across the Concho Valley responded to a brush fire in the city limits yesterday.
According to the Grape Creek Volunteer Fire Department, on August 12, the San Angelo Fire Department were dispatched to the intersection of E. 40th and Armstrong for the report of a brush fire.
Once they arrived firefighters began trying to control the fire in order to save structures that were around the fire.
The fire was put out after spreading six acres.
Units with the Grape Creek, Quail Valley Volunteer Fire Department and Texas A&M Forest Service were called into to assist the SAVFD.
The fire spread very quickly due to the current wildfire conditions. Our county is still under a burn ban. No outdoor burning is allowed during this time.
