SAN ANGELO, TX — A woman driver had to be extracted from her Ford Expedition after she was involved in a rollover crash Friday morning in the Santa Rita neighborhood.
She was driving her van east on Avenue L. Meanwhile, a driver of a Chevrolet Camaro Z-28 was southbound on S. Jackson St. approaching the intersection with Avenue L.
According to San Angelo police, the Z-28 driver ignored the stop sign and hit the woman driving the Expedition. The van in turn hit a pole and rolled over on its side.

Personnel from the San Angelo Fire Department had to cut open the Expedition with “Jaws-of-Life’ to rescue the woman from the van.
Miraculously, the woman was not seriously injured.
The driver of the Z-28 was issued a citation for disregarding a stop sign, police said. The crash happened at approximately 9:30 a.m. on July 19, 2019.
