WATCH: Elderly Driver Taken to the Hospital After Residential Crash

SAN ANGELO, TX -- An elderly woman was taken to the hospital following a two-car crash in a residential neighborhood on San Angelo's north side on Wednesday.

Police say an eastbound silver Dodge Nitro was attempting to turn into a private driveway in the 100 block of West 21st St. The driver of the Nitro then collided with a blue Chevy Cavalier heading westbound.

The driver of the Cavalier was described as an elderly female and was taken to Shannon Medical Center for precaution, according to police.

The driver of the Nitro was cited for failure to yield the right of way turning left.
