One Hospitalized After Car Hits Guardrail, Slides Down Loop Embankment

SAN ANGELO, TX -- One person was transported to the hospital after a car crashed into a guardrail and down the embankment of Loop 306 Tuesday afternoon.

According to Officer Long with the San Angelo Police Department's Traffic Division, a white Chevy Malibu was heading westbound on Loop 306 near Chadbourne St. when the driver lost control of the vehicle. The car then struck a guardrail and fell down the embankment.

The car was occupied by two people. The driver was transported to the hospital.

Possible citations are pending the investigation of the crash.
