WATCH:Wall Parent Survives Crash on US 87

SAN ANGELO, TX -- A crash occured today on US Highway 87 and Hawk Ave.

Around 1:00 p.m., the Department of Public Safety were dispatched to Highway 87 and Hawk Ave for a major motor vehicle accident. 

When they arrived, they determined a Ford Escape was traveling southbound down 87 when a Chevy Silverado was attempting to cross the road at the intersection of Hawk Ave. 

According to Sgt. Baker with the DPS, the Chevy failed to yield the right-of-way to the Ford causing the Ford to strike the right rear of the Chevy.

No one was transportted to the hospital and the driver of the Chevy was issued a citation for failure to yield the right-of-way.
