Head-on Collision Kills 19-Year-old on US-67

 

PROCTER, TX -- A 19-year-old died early morning Wednesday after a head-on collision on Highway 67. 

On March 15 at 5:14 a.m., the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to a major motor vehicle accident on US-67 2 miles east of Proctor. 

When they arrived they found Carla Ontiveros-Lara, 19, of Comanche in a 2013 Ford Focus dead at the scene. They then found two males driving a 2008 F350 Pickup is serious and critical condition. 

According to DPS, the Ford Focus was driving east down 67 when the F350, that was heading west, entered in the eastbound lane causing the vehicle to collide head-on. All occupants were wearing seatbelts. 

The driver of the F350 Humberto Garcia, 39, of Stephenville was taken to Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth. The passenger Hipolitio Gonzales, 41, was taken to the Comanche County Medical Center in Comanche. The driver of the Focus was taken to Comanche Funeral Home.
