BRADY, TX – A head on collision on Highway 71 near Brady sent one person to the hospital with major injuries.
At around 10 a.m. the Brady Fire and EMS responded to a major motor vehicle accident on Highway 71 and FM 2309. The passenger vehicle was was heading in the opposite lane on the two lane highway when it collided head on with a semi-truck.
When the EMS arrived they found the driver of the semi out and watching his truck as it was fully engulfed in flames. The driver of the passenger vehicle had incapacitating injuries and was trapped inside of the car. Once out of the vehicle the driver was taken to the Heart of Texas hospital.
Four hours after the highway had been cleared another crash happened at the same spot but this time no one was injured.
