Trucker Dies in 18-wheeler Crash

SNYDER, TX -- The driver of an 18-wheeler was killed in a roll over crash south of Hermleigh in Scurry County Friday.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety the 2013 Kenworth crashed 5.4 miles south of Hermleigh at 7:22 p.m. on FM 644. 

 

56-year-old Dean Edwards Eaton of Hermleigh was traveling northbound on FM 644 in a curve and drifted into the southbound lane. 

Eaton over corrected to the right and the rig overturned into the west ditch.  

Eaton was pronounced dead at the scene.  His body was taken to Miler Funeral Home in Snyder.  

The investigation is ongoing.
