Rodeo Traffic: Crash Near Coliseum Blocks Traffic Tuesday

SAN ANGELO, TX -- Stock show traffic at the San Angelo fairgrounds ground to a halt Tuesday morning as a crash near the intersection of Grape Creek Rd. and 47th St. blocked traffic.

According to witnesses at the scene, a Chevrolet pickup allegedly was stopped at the stop sign on 47th St. as a line of stock show traffic was steadily making its way to the fairgrounds.  Market barrows and market steers are arriving at the fairgrounds for the stock show.

The driver of the Chevrolet pickup allegedly ran the stop sign in front of a tan Chevrolet four door passenger car.  The passenger car apparently T-boned the pickup.

Reports from the scene indicate an ambulance was called but no one was transported to the hospital.

The crash is still under investigation.  No word yet on what citations, if any, will be issued.
