Police Release Details About Early Morning Crash That Closed the Houston Harte Expressway

SAN ANGELO, TX — A single-vehicle crash on the Houston Harte Expy. during the early morning hours Wednesday sent a 39-year-old man to hospital.

According to the San Angelo police, the man lost control of his GMC Jimmy SUV and struck the guardrail in the West 1300 block of the Expressway near Central High School.

The crash prompted police to issue a Nixle alert in the wee morning hours stating that the eastbound lanes of the Houston Harte were closed and advising motorists to find alternate routes. The crash scene was cleared by 6 a.m.

The crash happened at 3 a.m.
