SAN ANGELO, TX -- San Angelo firefighters are battling a structure fire at 61 E. 21st St. Monday morning.

UPDATE: Monday 10:35 a.m.
San Angelo Fire Department Battalion Chief Fisher says no one was in the building when the fire started Monday morning.
According to Fisher, there was a lot of smoke coming from the attic when firefighters arrived.
There were no injuries and firefighters extinguished the blaze confining damage mostly to the attic.
Fisher says they are attempting to contact the owner of the property.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
