Driver Injured in Icy Crash in Downtown San Angelo

 

SAN ANGELO, TX -- The driver of a silver Chevy Malibu was injured in a weather related crash on Koenigheim and Ave. D Wednesday morning. 

San Angelo Police Department investigating officer Quade says a white van was northbound on Koenigheim and the Malibu was eastbound at the stop sign on Ave. D. 

The driver of the Malibu disregarded the stop sign and entered the intersection crashing into the van. 

The Malibu driver was cited for failure to yield the right of way. 

The driver of the Malibu declined to be transported by ambulance. 

This crash was one of multiple crashes on icy roadways Wednesday morning.

Hardly weather related. The driver of the Malibu blatantly disregarded the stop sign! Happens all the time in this town no matter what the weather is like. Some idiot drivers just believe that stop signs and speed limits are meant for everyone but them.
