1 Injured, Car Catches Fire After Striking Pole

ABILENE, TX-- A car struck a pole before catching fire and leaving one person injured in south Abilene on Thursday.

KTXS in Abilene reports that a car "slid off the road and hit a telephone pole" on T&P Lane around 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. The report also says the car flipped and caught fire by Oldham Lane.

The driver of the car suffered severe injuries and was transported to Hendrick Medical Center.

A preliminary report from Abilene Police said multiple vehicles may have been involved in the crash.

The investigation is ongoing.
