Mother of Four and Family Dog Die in House Fire

 

BRECKENRIDGE, TX -- 37-year-old Mother of four, Jennifer Brown, died in a house fire on Tuesday located on County Road 206 close to Hubbard Creek Lake. According to her GoFundMe creator she, "gave her life to helping others, people and pets."

The house reportedly set fire around 2:40 AM but the reason for the fire is still under investigation. Breckenridge Fire Chief Calvin Chaney told KTXS 12 that two of her four children had to be taken to the hospital for minor smoke inhalation and burns to their feet. 

The family dog was also lost in the tragic fire. The children range in age from 12-18 and a fund at Breckenridge Interbank has been set up to benefit Jennifer's mother and the children.
