Explosives Truck Crashes Near Midland Closing Highway

 

MIDLAND, TX -- A pickup pulling a trailer crashed on a state highway near Midland early Wednesday blocking traffic. 

According to the Midland County Sheriff's Office, the road is now open to traffic as of 9:00 a.m. 

Midland County Sheriff’s Patrol Deputies are assisting DPS, Upton County, Fire Marshals and Midland Police Department Bomb Squad at a wreck at WCR 330 and South Highway 349.

The truck was transporting an amount of oilfield explosives. Drivers SHOULD AVOID the area for the next several hours to allow first responders to continue their investigation.
