Three Car Crash on S. Bryant & Ben Ficklin Sends One to Hospital

SAN ANGELO, TX -- A three car accident occurred at the 3300 block of South Bryant and Ben Ficklin Road a little after 3:30 this afternoon.

Officer Welch reported that a black Chevrolet 1500 was headed north on South Bryant when a silver Rav 4 failed to yield right of way when making a left turn causing the truck to strike the Rav 4. A Nissan Versa also had minor damage.

Both the Rav 4 and Chevrolet 1500 had to be towed away with severe damage. The Nissan Versa was able to be driven away from the scene.

The woman in the Rav 4 was taken to Community Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The Chevrolet 1500 was carrying the driver and her three young children ranging in age from ten to two. All were reported with no injuries and the children were not injured as well.

Officer Welch reported that he, "still needed to go by the hospital and talk to the lady in the Rav 4 but from witness statements and looking at the accident it would probably be failure to yield to right away making a left-hand turn."
