Slick Roads Cause 2 Tractor-trailers to Jackknife on US 87

SAN ANGELO, TX-- Two 18-wheelers jackknifed on US 87 in separate crashes Wednesday morning near Wall.

Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper Alejandro Morante says the two 18-wheelers jackknifed in separate crashes Wednesday morning in the rain on U.S. 87 south near Roberts Rd. in the Wall, TX area.

Trooper Morante says a Family Dollar tractor-trailer was traveling at an unsafe speed in the rain and jackknifed around 8 a.m. Wednesday morning.

While DPS troopers were investigating that crash, another 18-wheeler jackknifed less than a quarter mile away.

Morante says everyone should slow down when the road ways are wet or during any inclimate weather.

There were no injuries in the two crashes.
