Two Injured in Rendering Plant 18-Wheeler Crash on Loop 306 at FM 380

 

SAN ANGELO, TX -- Reports indicate two people were injured in an 18-wheeler crash on Loop 306 Wednesday afternoon. 

The crash occurred just before 4 p.m. at the intersection of Loop 306 and FM 380.  

Investigating San Angelo Police Officer Welch says the 18-wheeler was traveling west on FM 380 and turned onto the Loop 306 access road going to fast and the rig tipped over.  

The driver and passenger in the truck were taken by ambulance to Shannon Medical Center with undisclosed injuries. 

Officer Welch said the driver will be issued a citation for failure to control speed.  

The truck was hauling bone meal from Valley Proteins which is the rendering plant.
