Update 6:30 p.m. 8/22/18 Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper Dustin Henderson said shortly after 5 p.m. Wednesday, a gray 1991 Chevy Suburban was traveling south on U.S. 277 approaching FM 584 when a 2015 Maroon Ford Expedition was traveling north attempting to make a left hand turn on FM 584. The Expedition failed to yield the right of way. Four people were in the Suburban, the driver was from Christoval. There were two people in the Expedition. All of them were transported to the hospital. The driver of the Suburban has incapacitating injuries. The driver of the Suburban was flown to the hospital. The driver of the Expedition was cited for failure to yield the right of way.

SAN ANGELO, TX -- Firefighters and EMT's worked to cut the driver of a Chevy Suburban out of the vehicle at a crash on U.S. 277 south and Airport Rd. Wednesday afternoon.
According to Volunteer firefighters at the scene, the driver of the Suburban was airlifted to the hospital and three others went by ambulance.

Traffic was down to one lane and Airmed 1 was sent to the scene. There are reports of multiple injuries in the crash between the Suburban and a red SUV.
Volunteer Fire Department personnel are on the scene along with San Angelo paramedics, Tom Green County Sheriff's Deputies and Texas DPS troopers.
