Updated 4:40 p.m. San Angelo Police investigating officer Ogan says a man and a woman were in the black Chevy Silverado traveling south on S. Filmore when they disregarded the stop sign crashing into a gray Ford Explorer which was traveling east on Ave L. The Silverado ended up driving into the house. Officer Ogan said there were two people in the house and they were not injured.
The driver of the Silverado was arrested for possession of marijuana and issued citations for expired registration, driving while license invalid, and disregarding the stop sign.
Updated 4:20 p.m. 8/17/18 San Angelo Fire Department Battalion Chief Fred Barnett said there were no serious injuries in the crash. Engine 5 and Medic 5 were dispatched to the scene but were released.
The home owners are getting materials to shore up the house once the pickup is removed from the house.
San Angelo Police are still on the scene and investigating the cause of the crash.
SAN ANGELO, TX -- A pickup and an SUV crashed at the intersection of Ave. L and Filmore Friday afternoon sending the pickup into the front of a nearby house.
The Ford SUV has damage on the front end and ended up partially in the yard.
Police and Firefighters are on the scene along with an ambulance.
No word yet on whether anyone in the house or the vehicles was injured.
