SAN ANGELO, TX — UPDATE — A witness stated that about an hour and a half after the accident, the passenger of the truck that overturned on Debus, started to experience head pain.
“The adrenaline wore off and started feeling his injuries,” said the witness. “He was complaining about head pain and he had a bruise on his side.”
The passenger was reportedly sleeping in the truck when the truck overturned. The passenger side hit the ground.
Just after 11:00 a.m. today on Debus Road, Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office and Texas Department of Public Safety responded to an overturned 18-wheeler.
According to deputies on scene, the driver of the tractor trailer was heading east on Cottonseed Rd and when the driver came to Debus Road he attempted to take a left and the trailer flipped on its side.
The trailer was carrying a large amount of frozen lamb. Home Motors was called to the crash scene to get the truck up and towed it in.
There were two occupants in the truck. No injuries were reported. DPS troopers on scene cited the driver for unsafe speed.
