Fire Damages Pickup and House in West San Angelo

SAN ANGELO, TX -- San Angelo Firefighters fought a blaze Thursday that damaged a white pickup and the garage of a house in the 1700 block of Louise St. in West San Angelo Thursday.

Smoke could be seen for miles.  The front end of the pickup appears to be heavily damaged.

Flames damaged the garage and possible other portions of the house.

Assistant Fire Chief Todd Sanford says the front end of the pickup was completely engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived.

Sanford says the fire was contained to the garage.  No one was injured and the fire marshal's office is investigating.

Sanford says the truck's owner said he drove up and was standing beside the pickup when it caught on fire.
