SAPD Confirms One Dead in Arden Ridge Apartments Fire

 

UPDATED 6.2.2018 2:24 p.m.  One person has been confirmed dead in the apartment fire at  Arden Ridge apartments.  

According to SAPD Public Information Officer Tracy Gonzalez on the scene, one person was found dead in the apartment that burned.  The Criminal Investigation Division has officers on the scene and other divisions are working traffic control.  Some apartments were evacuates for safety.  Gonzalez says the victim has not yet been identified.  

UPDATED 7/2/2018 2:10 p.m.  A Tom Green County Justice of the Peace is on the scene.  The fire appears to be confined to a single apartment according to reporters on the scene.  

SAN ANGELO, TX -- San Angelo Police and Firefighters are working a possible structure fire at the Arden Ridge Apartments at 3801 Arden Road Monday afternoon. 

Reporters on the scene say there is a lot of smoke.
