18-Wheeler Engulfed in Flames on Farm to Market Road

 

ODESSA, TX — A giant cloud of smoke could be seen from miles away in Ector County early this morning. An 18-wheeler had caught fire on FM 866, according to CBS 7.

The Ector County Sheriff’s Office said the driver was traveling on FM 866 near Hwy 302 when he noticed a tire had caught fire.

The driver pulled the truck over to the shoulder and the entire truck quickly became engulfed by flames.

Fire crews made it to the scene and put the fire out but the truck was completely destroyed.

No one was injured during the fire.
