Driver Injured in UPS Tractor-Trailer Crash in Sweetwater

SWEETWATER, TX -- The driver of an 18-wheeler belonging to UPS was seriously injured Thursday morning when the truck crashed into a dump truck.  

KTXS is reporting the driver was airlifted to Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene where he is listed in serious condition.

The crash occurred just before 8:00 a.m. blocking eastbound traffic on I-20 near FM 1856.  

According to investigators at the scene, the sun may have impeded the driver’s view.
