Driver Runs Red Light Causing Three Vehicle Crash on Sherwood Way

SAN ANGELO, TX — The driver of a Nissan Sentra ran a red light at the intersection of Millspaugh and Sherwood Way by Henry's restaurant Monday afternoon crashing into two other vehicles.

According to Office Brian Bylsma with the San Angelo Police Department, a woman driving the 2016 Nissan Sentra admitted to disregarding the red light and then hit a white 2013 Chevy Silverado.

After colliding with the Chevy, the driver of the Nissan veered right and collided head on with a 2006 Dodge Ram.

The only injuries from the crash were sustained by the driver of the Nissan but she refused the ambulance and was transported to a local hospital by private vehicle.

The driver of the Nissan was cited for disregarding the red light, not wearing a seatbelt, and no insurance.

One eastbound lane on Sherwood is closed at the intersection. The A&M St. turn is closed and traffic is being diverted while cleanup is underway.
