2 Dead After 18-Wheeler, Car collide in Callahan Co. on Highway 36

 

CALLAHAN COUNTY, TX-- KTXS in Abilene is reporting two people died in a two-car crash on Highway 36 in Callahan County Tuesday evening.

The crash happened between a car and an 18-wheeler hauling pipe just before the intersection with Highway 283 around 6 p.m.

After colliding with the car, the 18-wheeler struck a telephone pole, knocking it over and starting a grass fire.

Highway 36 was reopened around 8:30 p.m. last night.

Details of the cause of the crash have not been released. This story will be updated when those details become available.
