Jackknifed 18-Wheeler Blocks Traffic on Mertzon Highway

 

SAN ANGELO, TX -- An 18-wheeler jackknifed early Monday morning on U.S. 67 and FM 2335 reducing driving to one lane on the busy Mertzon highway at the Boys Ranch turn off in the curve near Tankersley.  

Tom Green County Sheriff's deputies are working the scene and directing traffic.  

There is no word yet on what caused the truck to jackknife or if any other vehicles were involved.  

Law enforcement officers continue to investigate the crash and no word on injuries.  

Witnesses at the scene say workers were unloading the truck's cargo as part of clearing the roadway.
