SAN ANGELO, TX — UPDATE: An accident was reported at the intersection of San Antonio and N. Garfield around 4:30 p.m. The crash investigation by Officer Welch with the San Angelo Police Department Traffic Division showed that three vehicles were involved in an accident; a gray Kia Sorrento, a white Chevy Equinox, and a gold Ford Taurus.
According to Officer Welch, the gray Kia was traveling eastbound on San Antonio when the driver disregarded the stop sign at the intersection. The white Chevy was traveling southbound on Garfield and struck the gray Kia on the driver side. The impact pushed the gray Kia into the gold Ford that was traveling northbound.
All passengers in the vehicles were said to be okay. One passenger was transported to the hospital but there were no life-threatening injuries, according to the officer.
The Kia Sorrento and the Chevy Equinox had one adult and two children in the vehicles. The Ford had one adult and one child.
The driver of the gray Kia Sorrento was issued two citations: one for disregarding the stop sign and the other for driving while license invalid.

Our field reporter has witnessed one person being loaded into an ambulance and transported to a local hospital.
Police are investigating the crash now.
