WATER VALLEY, TX — A Chevrolet Blazer rolled across multiple lanes of traffic north of San Angelo on U.S. 87 north Saturday afternoon.
According to the Texas DPS, the Chevy Blazer, with a male driver and a single male passenger, was northbound. The driver veered the Blazer off the roadway and into the median for reasons not known. Then, the driver overcorrected several times, sending the Blazer into a roll.
The Blazer rolled “multiple times,” DPS said, and across the southbound lanes into the barrow ditch on the opposite side of the 4-lane divided highway.

The crash happened just north of where FM 2084 intersects U.S. 87 north of Water Valley just before 4 p.m.
No other vehicles were involved. One occupant was airlifted to Shannon Medical Center. Witnesses at the scene stated he appeared to be in “pretty bad shape.” The other occupant was rushed to Shannon in an ambulance. San Angelo EMS arrived at the scene fairly quickly.
