Fast-Moving Black SUV Ends Night Crumpled into Concrete Barrier on Houston Harte Expressway

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — A black SUV crash closed the westbound lands of the Houston Harte Expressway near the Van Buren overpass at around 9:30 p.m. Friday.

According to the San Angelo police, multiple witnesses told them they saw a black SUV traveling at a high rate of speed, passing other motorists on the expressway. Approaching the Van Buren overpass, police said, the female driver of that SUV lost control and slammed into a concrete barrier. The driver was the sole occupant.

The driver was rushed to Shannon Medical Center with unknown injuries.

Police said citations are pending the outcome of the investigation.
