SAN ANGELO, TX — One man was hospitalized following a three-vehicle collision at the busy intersection of S. Abe St. and W. Beauregard Ave. at 1:40 p.m. Monday afternoon.

According to San Angelo police, a man driving a brand south on Abe in a new white 2018 Ford F-250 ran a stoplight that started the string of collisions with two westbound cars on Beauregard. Sgt. Cade Solsbery, who is investigating the crash, said his investigation reveals that after the F-250 hit a 2000 Mercury Grand Marquis, then hit a late model Ford Fusion that was also westbound in Beauregard.

All drivers refused transport to the hospital except the driver if the Fusion. When he was loaded into the ambulance, Solsbery characterized his injuries as minor.

The driver of the F-250 was cited for disregarding a red light. The driver of the Marquis was driving with a suspended license, police said.
