14-Year-Old Killed in ATV Accident on Wednesday

 

ABILENE, TX — One person was killed on Wednesday after an ATV accident on County Road 221, 9.7 miles North of Wingate in Taylor County.

According to Sergeant Fred Biddle of the Texas Department of Public Safety, the 14-year-old girl, Kaylynn Reyna Karr, was on a 2007 Kawasaki Mule 3010 traveling west on CR 221, an unpaved road, at a speed too fast for the conditions.

The vehicle went off the roadway and rolled over in the west barrow ditch. She was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. The crash is still under investigation.

The young girl was pronounced dead at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene.
