Ram Truck Takes Out Two GM Vehicles with Just One Traffic Violation

SAN ANGELO, TX — Early Saturday afternoon, a 2014 Ram pickup truck with three souls on board, including the driver, was traveling west on FM 2105. When the Ram’s driver got to the stop sign for the busy, four-lane U.S. 87, he disregarded the stop sign, DPS said.

Upon pulling out into the northbound lanes, the Ram clipped a 2009 Cadillac Escalade with a single occupant, the driver, and also caused a 2008 Chevy Avalanche, also occupied with just the driver, to smash into the front left of the Ram.

The Escalade driver was rushed to Shannon with what DPS described as minor injuries.

During the investigation, however, DPS determined that the driver of the Cadillac didn’t have a valid driver’s license and had no insurance. That driver will receive citations.

The Ram driver was cited for disregarding a stop sign.

U.S. 87’s northbound lanes were closed for about 45 minutes while the crash investigation was conducted.
