Nine Year Old Girl Hit by Pickup in North San Angelo

 

SAN ANGELO, TX  — A 9-year-old girl was injured Tuesday after she was struck by a pickup truck in North San Angelo.

According to San Angelo Police Department Public Information Officer Tracy Gonzalez, Police and Fire Department personnel were dispatched to the 2100 block of East 37th Street around 4:45 p.m. Tuesday for the report of a little girl that was hit by a vehicle.

A preliminary investigation found that the driver of the 2013 Chevrolet 1500 pickup, a 54-year-old San Angelo woman, was traveling eastbound on East 37th when the victim, who was running northbound across the street, ran into the vehicle’s path.

The victim was transported to San Angelo Community Medical Center by ambulance for treatment of non-incapacitating injuries.

No citations were issued.
