Fatal Two-Vehicle Accident Takes the Lives of Two Men

 

NOLAN COUNTY — Sunday morning, at around 6:25 a.m. two vehicles collided in Nolan County on US 84 near Roscoe. 

According to Sergeant Fred Biddle with the Department of Public Safety, a 2013 Dodge Caravan, driven by Bobby Mack Moody, 85, was traveling southbound on US 84 when it swerved into the northbound lane and collided head on with a 2015 Subaru Impreza, driven by Stephen Joshua Arndt, 34. 

Moody, a resident of Abilene, and Arndt, a resident of Miles, were both pronounced dead at the scene. Their bodies were taken to McCoy’s Funeral Home in Sweetwater. 

Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the collision. 

The posted speed limit was 75 mph and the weather and road conditions were clear, cloudy and dry.

This accident is still under investigation.
