SAN ANGELO, TX — KSAN's transmitter lost power this afternoon just before 4 p.m. when a Ford Powerstroke Diesel pickup had a blowout on SH 208 just north of FM 2105.
The driver and passengers of the tough Ford weren't injured, but according to officials at the scene, the Ford experienced a tire blowout, delivering it into an uncontrolled diversion off the roadway and into a powerline pole.
The pole supplied power to one of KSAN-TV’s transmitters. As we left the scene, a technician for KSAN had just arrived to assess the situation.
The Powerstroke was able to drive away on its own.
