UPDATE: Friday, June 16, 2017 at 12 p.m.

Funeral arrangements have been made for a Brownwood Police Department Officer Bryan Greenrock who was killed in a two-vehicle accident earlier this week.

After investigating the accident, a preliminary (DPS) report states that Greenrock was traveling north down US 183 when he was struck by a truck. The truck had drifted off the road, overcorrected, and then skidded into Greenrock's lane.

Further investigations shows that Greenrock veered out of the way to avoid the oncoming truck; his attempt was uncesseful.

The driver of the truck was flown to a medical center in Waco for incapacitating injuries.

Greenrock was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash.

The funeral service for Greenrock is set for Monday, June 19 at 2 p.m. at the Coggin Avenue Baptist Church in Brownwood. Visitation will be on Sunday, June 18 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Heartland Funeral Home in Early, Texas.

For those wanting to donate to the family, a bank account has been established at the Citizens National Bank under Officer Bryan Greenrock's name. Donations are also being accepted at the Brownwood Police Department located at 1050 W Commerce Street, in Brownwood.
