Thirsty Driver Causes Wreck on Childress Street

 

SAN ANGELO, TEXAS -- Shortly before 11:30 a.m. this morning, a three-vehicle accident occurred after a man attempted to reach for his water bottle that had fallen to the floor board of his vehicle. 

The driver of a blue-green GMC Sierra was driving northbound in the 300 block of Childress when his water bottle fell to the floor board.  As the driver attempted to retrieve the water bottle, "he lost control of his vehicle" and "hit a parked car, that in exchange pushed forward into another car," San Angelo Police Department Officer Bradshaw reported. 

The driver of the GMC was taken to Shannon Medical Center via ambulance for unknown injuries. However, Officer Bradshaw stated that the injuries sustained were not serious.The airbags of the GMC did deploy during the accident
