SAN ANGELO, TX — at about 8:20 p.m. this evening, a blue Chevrolet pickup was reported engulfed in flames. Firefighters rushed to the scene and quickly extinguished it.

While the truck was ablaze, billowing black smoke could be seen rising above north San Angelo. It took the crew from San Angelo Fire Department Engine 6 about three minutes once arriving at the scene to extinguish the visible flames.
Update 8:53 p.m.
A spokesman for the fire battalion at the scene, Greg Hoffman, said when firefighters arrived, the cab and motor area were engulfed in flames. But no one was inside the truck. No one was injured, Hoffman said.
The Fire Marshal was on his way by 8:30 p.m. to investigate
