Fatal Crash Involving 2 Semi Trucks Leaves One Dead

CALLAHAN COUNTY, TX – In an unfortunate series of events, the driver of a truck tractor/semi-trailer tragically lost his life on IH-20 after his truck rear ended another semi this morning at approximately 9:00 a.m. 

DPS has not released further information, but, according to initial reports, the incident began after a semi-trailer traveling west on IH-20 slowed down as it approached a second semi parked on the north shoulder of IH-20. As the driver of the truck reduced his speed, the third driver rear-ended him.

The only fatality reported is that of the driver of the last semi-trailer. There are no other injuries reported, and the crash is still under investigation.
