Dear Oil Field: Welcome to San Angelo! Now BOOM!

SAN ANGELO, TX — The Oil Field is Back and so are the crashes. A well services energy company pickup failed to yield the right-of-way resulting in a crash on Paint Rock Rd. this morning at 11:30 a.m.

According to the Texas DPS, the white Chevrolet pickup was turning onto the 3100 block of Paint Rock Rd. from Laura Dr. and failed to yield the right-of-way to oncoming traffic.

The Chevy pulled out in front of a woman driving a Hyundai Veloster compact wagon. The Hyundai T-boned the Chevy truck, DPS said.

The woman driving the Veloster was rushed to Shannon Medical Center with injuries that did not incapacitate her, DPS said. There were three occupants of the Chevy pickup. None were injured.

DPS said the Chevy driver was issued a citation for failure to yield the right-of-way from an intersection.
