SAN ANGELO, TX — A Chevrolet Cobalt rammed a larger Chevrolet Blazer at the intersection of N. Howard St. and North St. today a approximately 5 p.m. The Chevy Blazer rolled over, spilling what appears to be a week’s worth of laundry into the street.
According to San Angelo Police Traffic Investigator Brian Bylsma, witnesses told him the Cobalt was westbound on North, and stopped at the stop sign there. Bylsma said the Cobalt’s driver told him he didn’t see the Blazer coming.
The Cobalt hit the Blazer broadside, causing the Blazer to roll over onto its hood. The Cobalt sustained minor damage.
The vehicle damage was consistent with what the witnesses told the police, Bylsma said.
The front seat passenger of the Blazer was rushed to the hospital with injuries. Bylsma said when he arrived on the scene, all three occupants of both vehicles were walking around.
Howard St. was closed for about an hour while police conducted their investigation.
