SAN ANGELO, TEXAS -- Shortly after 3 p.m. this afternoon, police dispatched to a major crash involving two cars at the crossing of S. Bryant and W. Highland Boulevard.
The crash occurred on the north bound side of South Bryant street. The two cars involved were a white Ford F-150 and a tan colored Chevrolet Tahoe. San Angelo Police Department Officer Bradshaw said the white truck was merging into the outside lane when the Tahoe in front of him slowed down behind a minivan making a right hand turn. Unfortunately, the driver of the white truck "was too close by then" and was "unable to control his speed" to stop in time.
The driver of the Tahoe was transported to Shannon Hospital, but Officer Bradshaw said, "I am not sure about the injuries."
The driver of the F-150 was given a citation for "Failure to Control Speed."
Two lanes were "blocked for cleanup, and we have a vehicle that is still merging into the lane," added Bradshaw. He continued, "As soon as home motors comes and gets these vehicles," the lanes will be back open for traffic.
