Driver Collides with Utility Pole on Houston Harte

 

SAN ANGELO, TX -Last night, San Angelo Police officers were dispatched to the Houston Harte Expressway for a crash on the Smith Blvd. exit.

According to a SAPD press release, the driver, a 62-year-old male, hit loose grave as he attempted to take the exit. This caused him to lose control of his vehicle and slide into a light pole.

The driver was transported to Shannon Medical Center by an ambulance after he sustained serious injury. No further details are available regarding his condition.

The light pole was damaged, and AEP was called to review the damage. The driver is a resident of San Angelo and was cited for traveling at an unsafe speed.
