SAN ANGELO, TX - At this time, San Angelo Police officials are asking drivers to avoid Dallas and Howard due to a major crash involving a transit vehicle.
The street will be blocked for the next hour officials said.
We will provide an update when available.
Update 4:20 p.m.
San Angelo Police said this afternoon, at around 3:56 p.m., the crash that occurred on Dallas and Howard involved three vehicles.
Officer Loudermilk said a Ford E350 van was traveling northbound on Howard; the Jeep was traveling westbound on Dallas; and the white vehicle was stopped at the light facing southbound on Howard.

Based on witness testimony, the driver of the Concho Valley van disregarded the red light northbound, and, as a result, the Jeep collided with the front of it and pushed the van into the parked white vehicle at the stop light.
The driver of the white Chrysler was taken to Shannon Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries, and the driver of the transit vehicle was issued a citation for disregarding the red light.
